At Christmas, Easter and before the release of all "respecting" people have a ritual – need to lose weight. The main thing – to choose the most effective for this method. And there is where carousing: want – help new 100% working diet; use laxatives; go to the gym and train until he lost consciousness; eat only the "right" and "healthy" food.It is difficult to imagine a modern woman who has never tried to lose weight in her life, or at least has not promised to do so since Monday. Among them there are lucky people who have found an effective method for themselves and got the desired result. There are those who did not get the result. And increasingly, among the connoisseurs of ideal body parameters, there are victims of the weight loss industry who, in addition to the lack of results, have earned themselves an eating disorder.

How not to fall into this trap from the usual diet, we suggest to consider further.

Why do people want to lose weight?

The most common answer is to improve your health and well-being. Overweight does not mean health problems, just as an ideal weight does not guarantee the same health.

It is obvious that we are driven in this direction by very different motives.

As a rule, most people want to lose weight in order to feel beautiful, be confident and catch admiring glances. They want to have an inner feeling that "I'm cool".

Here comes the day X (although what is X? This is exactly the same Monday!). You begin to lose weight by the method that you have chosen for yourself (how healthy this method is is another question). The set time period passes, the balance +- and the weight you wanted to see. And you get the feeling that you are cool. And even friends cheer with compliments. And then it would be time to stop and enjoy yourself and your reflection in the mirror. This will be a relatively healthy attitude to weight loss as a process.

Sometimes, after the result you get, you think: "Yeah, so this method works, and I can lose weight. Why, then, would not lose another 1-2 lbs?". After achieving this result, it seems to you that you still need -1 cm in the waist and -30 mm in the hips to achieve an ideal body.

This is what the first call of an eating disorder looks like: the closer you get to the goal, the further you push it away from you.

Instead of feeling "I'm cool", you constantly think that you can try a little harder for the ideal.

The second signal is a sense of guilt.

Let's say that you have chosen a diet or nutrition system to lose weight. It usually involves eating specific foods at certain times. But it so happened that, spontaneously meeting with a friend, you drank an extra Cup of coffee. Or you really wanted to eat a chocolate bar. With a healthy attitude to the weight loss process, you will notice this, say "well, I ate and ate" and continue your diet. Otherwise, there are 2 possible scenarios after this "incident" :

Option 1: You start "eating yourself" for not holding back, feeling guilty. You work out in the gym by removing extra calories and making your diet more strict.

Option 2: you realize that you have disrupted the mode and think that after this all your previous efforts are down the drain. In this regard, go into isolation and start eating everything that you did not allow yourself on a diet. After that, either implement option 1, or promise yourself to return to losing weight on the first day or next Monday.

Of course, the above examples, which indicate the transition from normal weight loss to unhealthy – this is just the tip of the iceberg. But these are the signs that are most obvious and you can easily track them.

Be alert and healthy! And remember: you are cool!
